The Mount Snow Competition Programs offer young athletes the opportunity to dream big and strive to reach their highest goals. This program trains athletes to compete in ski racing, snowboarding and freestyle skiing. The professional and seasoned coaching staff at Mount Snow motivates, instructs and mentors athletes as young as 8 years old up to 18 years old. Athletes will learn the technical aspects of their sport, in a fun and challenging environment that promotes good sportsmanship.
This 18-week program allows all skiers to compete in Eastern USAA events while younger (ages 14 & under) typically compete in Southern Vermont Junior Council races. Older racers often compete at statewide and regional events. For the past several years, athletes have competed in the Junior Olympics, Eastern Cup and Nor Am races. All Alpine Competitions Program competitors participating in USSA events must join USSA and must also be members of the Vermont Alpine Racing Association (VARA).
Participants must be able to master the majority of the mountain terrain and ride all lifts. All new applicants must be screened before acceptance to ensure the readiness of the athlete and proper program placement.
