Congratulations to Our Althletes!

Over the past 6 weeks, MSSC and MSTC skiers and riders have racked up some impressive results across all disciplines. Our VP's of Alpine, Freestyle, and Snowboarding have pulled together some highlights and summaries of our athletes' accomplishments thus far this season.

ALPINE (Jen Varrone, VP):

The Mount Snow Apline team has participated in a number of events this year, including races at Bromley, Willard and Magic. Our athletes placed in the top 10 in a number of events, including Bromley Dual Slalom, Bromley U16/U19 Slalom, Willard U14 Slalom, U10 Stubby Slalom, U12 Stubby Slalom and the Magic U12 Dual Slalom

Athletes with top 5 finishes include Lila Sweetland (Bromley Dual Slalom), Isabella Thurber (Bromley Dual Slalom), Bennett Schwartz (U10 Stubby Slalom), Carter Hammond (U10 Stubby Slalom).

FREESTYLE (Jill Hilgert, VP):

The Freestyle Comp team has been hard at work training and competing. On the freeski side, the team has had athletes competing in slope style, ski cross and rail jam events in the Southern Vermont Series with many on the podium for their respective age groups. Elaina Krusiewski also competed in the USASA Futures Tour, finishing second in the Women's Open Class slopestyle event. Our mogul skiers have been at Okemo, Stratton and Killington for comps in December and January with athletes reaching the podium in the M11 and M9 age groups. Mount Snow will host the Carinthia Cup B mogul competition on February 22-23. Please stop by the course to support our freestyle athletes!

Some of our top 5 finishers throughout the course of the season so far include Hannah Borisoff, Clementine Bo, Elaina Krusiewski, Kayla McKinlay, Adie McGregor, Taylor Diaz, Aidan Raimo, Luke DeMartino, Madeleine Borisoff, Toby Heikka, Landon Jones, Rhys Jones, Nick Hahn, Dylan Nichols, Marco Rawlings, and McKenna Savage.

SNOWBOARD (Nicole Clontz, VP):

The Snowboard Team has had a very successful season to date. We've had athletes from Mount Snow achieve top 5 finishes 71 times. This is out of over 130 individual competition starts which makes about a 40% podium (1st, 2nd or 3rd) finish and little over 50% top 5 finishes. These results are all the more notable as they represent results acquired solely within the Southern Vermont Series, which is considered one of the most competitive series in the country.

Athletes with top 5 finishes include Sadie McKinlay, Kayla McKinlay, Robert Park, Breck Bensin, Jacob Blackwell, Elleana Sisk, Noa Heikka, Austin Cataudo, Wade Barnes, Jacob Blackwell, and Owen McGregor.
